New TMMerge Options
This dialog box allows you to specify the options to use when merging entries into an existing file.
An entry of the file to import is merged to an existing entry in the current TM, if one specified field of the current TM has a value exactly the same as the value of one specified field of the file to import. If the current TM has several entries with matching values, the imported entry is merged with the first match only. Once an entry in the TM has been merged it becomes unavailable for the rest of the entries to merged.
Field in the current TM -- Select the field of the current TM that should be used for comparison.
Field in the file to import -- Select the field of the file to import that should be used for comparison.
Same as above -- Set this option to automatically set the value of the Field in the file to import to the same as the one selected as the Field in the current TM.
Fields to overwrite -- Check all the fields that should be overwritten by the values coming from the file to import when a match is found. The fields not checked will be left with the values that had before the import.
Example 1
If your current TM has the following entries:

And the file to import has the following entries:

If you set Field in the current TM to
Text_EN and Field in the file to import to Text_EN,
and have the following fields set to be overwritten: Text_FR.
Then, the TM after the import will look like this (green indicates new text, yellow denotes text that overwrote an existing one):

Example 2
Note that the merge occurs only in the set of entries already in the TM. Imported entries are not merged together.
For example, if your current TM has the following entries:
