Input Menu

This menu offers the following commands:

You can also access this menu by right-clicking anywhere on the input files list.

Add

Adds one or more files to the current input files list.

Shortcut: Insert

Add Multiple

Adds one or more files to the current input files list, using search patterns such as *.xml, *.htm, etc.

Shortcut: Shift+Insert

Add From Output

Adds to the current input files list, the list of paths as they would be generated by the settings currently defined in the Output tab.

Note that the filter and encoding settings for each added file are set by the default mechanism (just like dropping the file in the input list), not copied from the corresponding input file.

Remove

Removes the selected files from the input files list. Removing the files from Rainbow's list does not delete the files from the drive.

Shortcut: Delete

Remove All

Clears the current input file list. Removing the files from Rainbow's list does not delete the files from the disk.

Edit Root

Edits the root of the current input files list. This command opens the Root dialog box.

Shortcut: F2

Switch Default Root

Switches the root for the current input files list between an empty root and a root made of the longest common path possible among all the listed files.

Shortcut: Ctrl+F2

Edit File

Edits the input file with the focus.

If the option When editing an input file, prompt the user to choose the editor application of the User Preferences dialog box is set the Edit File dialog box is opened before the file is send to its associated editor.

Shortcut: Ctrl+E

Edit Filter Parameters

Edits the filter parameters file of the selected file.

This command allows you to edit any existing filter parameters file directly by selecting it from its folder.

You can call this command even if the current tab is not one of the Input List tabs.

Shortcut: Ctrl+P

Open Containing Folder

Opens the folder of the input file that has the focus.

Select All

Selects all the files in the input files list.

Shortcut: Ctrl+A

Properties

Sets the properties for the selected files. This command opens the File Properties dialog box.

Shortcut: Alt+Enter
